High levels of energy input and the resulting strong rise in temperature are often unwanted side effects of using kneading and mixing elements.

The high-performance-elements from Extricom – some of them patented – can lower the energy input into the product while retaining or even improving the distributive and dispersive mixing cabability.

The basic principle for designing high-performance-elements is to prevent local overload through shearing peaks and to optimise and maximise the mixing action by creating elongation flows based on geometric variations in the screw profile. The T profile geometry ensures that the self cleaning effect is mostly retained.
